Chacko presided over the Jubilee cum College Day celebrations. The Nedumkallel Foot Ball Trophy was started as Jubilee memorial.

Jan. 23 : Grand Finale of the golden jubilee was inaugurated by Sri. A.K. Antony, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Kerala. Sri. Nalakath Soopy, Hon'ble Minster for education received the Album of the s pecial c over of the golden jubilee released by the Postal Department from Sri. Babu Raj, Post Master General, Central Region, Kochi. Sri. K.M. Mani, Hon'ble Minister for Revenue released the first copy of 'Science and Society', a multi disciplinary biannual Journal published from the College. Nirmala Academic and Research Publications (NARP), the publication division of the College was inaugurated. Three books published by NARP were released. Consultancy Services Division (Edison Circle) was opened by Sri. K. Francis George M.P. Idukki.

Oct. 18 : The Career Guidence Cell started the Foundation Course for Competitive Tests. It was inaugurated by Prof. Mathew Joseph, Former Principal, Regional Engineering College, Trichur.
Oct. 27 : Folklore club of the College was inaugurated. Nov. 30 : The NSS unit of the College organised a Mega Free Eye Testing and Catract Surgery Camp in collaboration with the Arvind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore.

Mar. 8 : The Golden Jubilee Souvenir was released by Hon'ble Justice V.R. Krishna Iyer giving a copy to Msgr. Thomas Malekudy, the Manager. The 12 th Msgr. Thomas Nedumkallel Endowment Lecture was delivered by Justice V.R. Krishna Iyer on Water Patriotism : The Plachimada Crisis.
Mar. 19 : The foundation stone for the new building for the Dept. of Pharmaceutical Science was blessed and laid by His Excellency Mar George Punnakottil.
Mar. 30 : An Academic Auditing by a Peer Team consisting of Dr. K.G. Narayanapillai (DCDC, MG University, Kottayam), Dr. Rajan Varghese (former Principal, UC College, Aluva) and Dr. P.J. Paulose (Principal, S.N. B.Ed. College, Adimaly) was conducted to evaluate the performance of different departments.

Feb. 21: The 15th Msgr. Thomas Nedumkallel Memorial Lecture was delivered by Dr. S. Ignacimuthu S.J., former V.C., Madras University and Bharthidasan University.
Feb. 22: Golden Jubilee Memorial Library and Research Centre was blessed by Rt. Rev. Dr. George Punnakottil. The Utility Block was also blessed. The first issue of the annual ‘Campus Light’ -a spiritual magazine by the Xavier Board Unit of the College was released.
Feb. 27: Football Court was extended into a full size court with 110x70 metres. Basket ball court was remodelled as per international standards. The Handball court and Tennis Court were completed.
Mar. 26-28: NAAC Peer Team consisting of Prof. Chandrakant Kokate, Prof. Gita Tiwari and Dr. Mohan B. re-accredited the College with B++ grade.

June 4: College won ‘Best College Award’ instituted by Xavier Board of Higher Education, Kerala North Region for the year 2006-07 in recognition of the excellence in curricular and extra curricular activities with special emphasis on values in the campus.
