Courses in Computer Applications

Courses such as Diploma in Computer Application (DCA) and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA) are offered by the College under the co-ordination of the Department of Computer Science and Commerce.

Certificate Courses in Computer Applications

Computer courses are given to the students during working days and holidays from 9 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 5 pm and also at free hours for the practicals. Thirty students are accommodated at a time for each Course.

Human Resource Development Training

The college provides a Foundation programme for integral development as part of the curriculum. The course content is spead over a year and the duration is four credits. Certificates are issued towards the completion of the course.

Computer Labs

There are four separate Computer Labs for BCom, BCA, MSc Statistics and MCA which mostly concentrate on regular curriculum, research and project work. Short term diploma courses are also conducted.

Language Lab

The language laboratory is of the ‘Listen-Respond-Record-Compare-Monitor-Inter Communicate type, conforming to international specifications of performance and features. Its use of two independent cassette mechanisms makes the system more versatile. The language laboratory system consists of 15 student stations, master console with stereo recording facility, CD player, cassette players, micro phones on gooseneck stand, recording units, headphones and speaker boxes. Audio cassettes and CD ROMs produced by the BBC improve the speech and pronunciation of students. The lab is supervised by the department of English. It provides short term course on Spoken English.
