DEPT. OF HINDI
The Hindi department of the college started functioning in 1953. The department provided 58 years of meritorious service to the institution. It came into full swing in 1981 with introduction of three year B.A. Degree course and started M.A. in 1999. The Department got elevated as a recognized research department in the year 2005.
Faculty
At present there are ten faculty members. Seven of them are holding Ph.D. degrees. Four are M.Phil holders. One member is doing Ph.D. research work.
We have a well-furnished departmental staffroom. Our library has a good collection of books, journals and periodicals. The reference section in the department is well equipped. Several endowment awards and prizes are awarded to meritorious students every year. Seminars and career development programs are also conducted by the department.

VISION AND MISSION
The Dept. aims at the fulfillment of the Mission and vision of the College like
1. The Integral development of Personality coupled with integrity of character.
2. Foster feelings of love, compassion and tolerance towards all and enable them to fight against all social evils. Encourage art, music dramatic and all other forms of creativity inherent in students.
In addition to the General vision and Mission the Dept. has its special mission of ‘Creating National outlook in students through the promotion of Hindi language and literature’.
Library
We have a vast collection of Hindi books, periodicals and journals in our college library .we are subscribing about 15 journals and more than 6000 Hindi books are in our library. In addition to the main library, we have a mini departmental library which is exclusively for the books based on the syllabus. Those books are very helpful for students whenever they want an extra reading beyond the prescibed textbooks.
