Department of Economics

The Department of Economics has been performing consistently well in academic and other areas, during the last decade. The department secured five university ranks during this period. Many students have secured have prizes in many intercollegiate competitions. In  sports too, the performance has been noteworthy.

The academic year 2011-12 too was an excellent year for the Department. The students and faculty of the department made significant achievements in curricular and extra-curricular areas. The department bagged second rank in MA Economics. Currently, the captains of Football, Handball, Volleyball and Basketball are from the Department of Economics.
