COURSES OFFERED
The Department offers UG and PG courses in Chemistry. Besides it is an approved centre of Research in Chemistry of Mahatma Gandhi University.

B.Sc Chemistry as core subject
Open course – Chemistry in everyday life.
Choice Based course- Nanochemistry and Technology
2. Chemistry is offered as complementary subject for Physics, Botany and Zoology core
3. M.Sc. Branch III Chemistry
4. Ph. D.Chemical Sciences
Student intake for B.Sc is 36 and for M.Sc. is 14.

Rev.Dr.Mathew Thottyil Endowment Lecture
Rev.Dr. Mathew Thottyil, former Principal and H.O.D. of Chemistry, has served Nirmala college muvattupuzha from 1967--,1984. He died on 10th November 2000. In memory of his dedication to the profession and to the institution the colleagues of Rev. Dr. Mathew Thottiyil instituted a memorial lecture on chemistry. This memorial lecture was started in November 2001 and is continuing in the second week of Novemberin every year
